Bleed is the area beyond the final trim size that allows for minor variations during printing and ensures that there are no white borders or unfinished edges.
What is size of bleed area in business card?
In the case of a business card, the bleed area typically extends an additional 0.125 inches (3.175 mm) on each side of the design. This means that a total of 0.25 inches (6.35 mm) is added to both the width and height of the business card design to account for the bleed area.
