In this exercise student will understand the usage and purpose of Color Replacement Tool  & Built in Replace Color Option

Color Replacement Tool
Color Replacement tool is used to replace the color of any object in the image

Properties of Color Replacement Tool
  1. Brush Preset Picker: It allows user to select a brush preset (Brush Type)
  2. Painting Mode / Modes : It allows a user to pick a blend mode to affect specific pixels.
    1. Hue - Replaces the color of the object only.
    2. Saturation - Replaces the saturation of new color with the color of the object.
    3. Color : Replace both the Hue & Saturation of the object
    4. Luminosity - Affects the the brightness of the object and replace it with the brightness of the new color.
  3. Sampling: It allows a user to decide which pixel to sample for color replacement
    1. Continuous: Automatically picks the sample color as you drag the mouse
    2. Once: Sample the color where you click first.
    3. Background Swatch: Uses BG color swatch as sample.

How to use Brush Tool
  1. Select Color Replacement Tool
  2. Select Mode (i.e HUE, Saturation, Color, Luminosity )
  3. Select Sampling Mode. (Optional)
  4. Select Limit (Optional)
  5. Adjust Tolerance (Optional)
  6. Set the color in the Foreground Color Swatch.

Replace Color Option
It is one of the easiest option to replace the color of any object.

Properties of  Replace Color
  1. Eye Dropper Tool : Samples the initial color
  2. Add Sample : It is used to ad another color as sample
  3. Subtract From Sample: Removes color from sample.
  4. Fuzziness : It is used to expand or reduce range of sampled colors.

How to use Replace Color Option
  1. Go To Image >> Adjustments > Replace Color
  2. Click on Black box to sample the initial color.
  3. Add Sample (+) to sample more color if desire color is not selected (Optional)
  4. Remove Sample (-) to remove color if any unwanted color is selected (Optional)
  5. Adjust Fuzziness  (Optional)
  6. Adjust Hue Slier to change color
